Tom Rust Receives Engineering Excellence Award
On January 29, 2008, Thomas Davis Rust, PE, AICP, Chairman of the Board of Directors of PHR+A, was awarded “The 2008 Engineering Excellence Award” by George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. This award is given annually to an engineer who has contributed significantly to the profession and to the community. The award recognizes leadership in both these areas. In his remarks accepting the award, Rust said that it was the responsibility of engineers to not only excel in their profession but also to utilize their training, experience and education to contribute back to society. Rust is a registered Professional Engineer with degrees from Virginia Tech, George Washington University and the University of Virginia.
